Digital Health Consulting
We have thought leadership level core competencies, including:
- Standards and interoperability (openEHR, FHIR and clinical terminology & ontology)
- Electronic health records (EHR), information architecture, clinical modelling and governance
- Electronic implementation of clinical outcome assessments (COAs) and in particular patient reported outcome measures (PROMs)
- Computational Physiology based Digital Twins and clinical applications
- Digital health & Value-Based Care strategy, transformation and procurement
Standards & Interoperability
We are cognisant there are many standards out there, each with its own learning curve. Having a sound understanding of how these standards actually can provide real value to your business and customers is critical. With over 20+ experience in openEHR, HL7 standards (v2 and it's successor FHIR), and SNOMED CT we can provide tailored guidance and mentor your team - saving considerable time and resources.
We are offering a free 30min call to understand your needs and provide a tailored program for you.
Value-Based Care and PROMs
Electronic implementation of clinical outcome assessments (COAs) and in particular patient reported outcome measures (PROMs).
Most implementers overlook challenges around:
- Integrating PROMs data collection & reporting into existing clinical and administrative workflows & systems
- Copyright and licensing of PROMs instruments
- Electronic migration of paper based questionnaires and most importantly achieving high response rates.
Health Tech Start-up Mentoring
Offering a wide range of premium support, including:
- Product & R&D strategy
- Business development & sales support
- Tender and grant proposals
- Compliance (ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR)
- Enterprise architecture & interoperability
Digital Twins & Clinical Applications
Are you interested in getting involved in breakthrough innovations in life sciences? We provide scientific and clinical translation & commericalisation support for implementing new breed of digital twin applications in healthcare. These are not merely application of AI on arbitrary healthcare data but underpinned by:
- High quality and structured EHR data; building upon FHIR and openEHR and annotated with clinical terminology/ontology
- Various predictive AI algorithms for risk assessment and clinical & population levels decision support
- Constrained by physics based multi-scale mathematical models and simulations at molecular, cellular, tissue, organ and whole body and even population levels. See: the Physiome Project and world leading research at Auckland Bioengineering Institute in New Zealand. Time Magazine also has an excellent article on this.
GALATA-Digital has been set up by Dr Koray Atalag (MD, PhD, FAIDH) to provide digital health consulting services.
Koray has 25 years of experience in digital health in various roles and organisations including academia, industry, government and NGOs. As a clinician and health informatician, he is among the very few experts globally who have deep knowledge and hands-on experience in both HL7 FHIR and openEHR standards. He is among the core team that transformed openEHR into an independent standards development organisation serving in the first Management Board, a founding member of the HL7 Turkish Affiliate, past vice-chair and current Board member of HL7 New Zealand, expert member of ISO TC/251 Health Informatics Task Force on Telehealth and Virtual Care.
Koray also brings vast experience in value-based care and electronic implementation of Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) in clinical settings. In his former role as Chief Health Informatics Officer and Co-founder at The Clinician, he successfully managed strategic partnerships with key organisations, including ICHOM, MAPI Research Trust and played a critical role in the implementation of several national and state-wide projects. Koray was the lead subject matter expert in the development of the national PROMs strategy and roadmap in Saudi Arabia.
